Anuradha Shankar

Board Member - AMI, Netherlands

Former Director General of Police (DGP), Madhya Pradesh

Anuradha Shankar is a retired senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer whose career reflects integrity, leadership, and humane governance. She retired as the Director General of Police in Madhya Pradesh. During her service, she consistently combined professionalism with compassion and anchored her work in Gandhian values of truth, nonviolence, and ethical responsibility.

Beyond policing, she has worked with UNICEF on child protection and education programs, shaping policies with insights drawn from her service. She has been a lifelong advocate for holistic education and currently serves on the Board of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), the global body founded by Dr. Montessori and headquartered in the Netherlands, where she supports the growth of authentic Montessori education in India and across the world.

Deeply rooted in Gandhian ideals, she has been actively engaged with Ekta Parishad, Jai Jagat, and the Universal Solidarity Movement, promoting land rights, peace and ethical citizenship. She is widely recognized as a change agent and global advocate for nonviolence and women’s leadership.

Sant Bhushan Lal

Sant Bhushan Lal, Founder of Lals Consultants, is a seasoned professional with over six decades of diverse experience spanning government service, international assignments, legal practice, arbitration, and community leadership. A Civil Engineering graduate from Delhi College of Engineering and a Law graduate from the University of Delhi (1979), he retired as Chief Engineer (Arbitration) from the Department of Telecom, Government of India. He also served for five years in the Sultanate of Oman as Technical Coordinator in His Majesty’s Personnel Properties Department. Post-retirement, he continues to serve as an Arbitrator, Advocate, Numerologist, Mediator, and Consultant.

He is empaneled with major public sector organizations like ONGC, Engineering Projects India Ltd, Prasar Bharati, NDMC, ICA, UPSBC, Airport authority of India, SCOPE etc., as Arbitrator and has been Course Director for CIDC in project management and arbitration. He has held leadership roles in Rotary International, Free Masonry, and multiple resident and alumni associations.

Anshumala Gupta

Anshumala Gupta, Founder-Director of the Joy of Learning Foundation, brings over 35 years of experience in education, publishing, teacher training, and curriculum design. An alumna of IIT Kanpur (B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering, 1986) and TISS Mumbai (MA in Elementary Education, 2012), she has worked extensively in developing experiential science education programs. She served as Senior Consultant at NCERT, leading the creation of a year-long online certificate course for elementary science teachers. A former editor of a Hindi children's magazine for eight years, she has a passion for energizing learning for teachers and students alike through inquiry, analysis, and real-world connection. Her foundation offers experiential science learning for teachers and students, focusing on core concepts, practical understanding and joyful engagement. 

Deeply committed to environmental education, she also works with farming communities on soil science and regenerative agriculture. She serves as visiting science faculty at the "I am a Teacher" program - a transformative teacher education initiative.

Dr. Sagar

Research Group Leader - University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany

Dr. Sagar is a scientist and research group leader at the University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany. He studied immunology and now leads the Single Cell Immunobiology group. His research focuses on γδ T cells, a unique type of immune cell, and how they shape health and disease. Using cutting-edge single-cell methods, he studies the immune system in both humans and mice. Dr. Sagar has published influential papers in leading journals, including Nature, Science, Cell, and Nature Immunology. His work aims to uncover new principles of immunity and guide the development of better treatments for patients. He completed his PhD in developmental biology from University of Freiburg. Previously, Dr. Sagar worked at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg and Pasteur Institute, Paris. 

Beyond science, Dr. Sagar values nurturing curiosity and independence — in children, who are still developing to become adults as well as, in his own students — and believes learning flourishes best in a natural and supportive environment.​​
